This is a basic and (flexible) curriculum map for grades K-6.  Extensions on the subjects above, learning THE BIG 6, an understanding of the school's on-line library catalog, as well as a simple research project will be done in grades 3-6 beginning in January.

I only have the students for 30 minutes each week, so all subjects will be covered very briefly, as my goal is to get children TO READ, not to teach them ABOUT reading.  I also want to read a picture book to the younger grades each week, another reason to keep subjects above short and fun.

These topics could be used by anyone, including teachers, homeschooling parents/teachers, and librarians.
